Festive events dedicated to the Ecologist's Day and the 10th anniversary of the museum's mini-paleopark were held in the museum on Saturday, June 7th.

Adults and children enjoyed participating in the thematic events of the holiday. The demonstration lesson "Inhabitants of Reservoirs" is traditionally the most visited. With the help of magnifying glasses, it was possible to get to know 14 species of insects, crustaceans, amphibians and fish that live in the rivers and lakes of Moscow and the Moscow region.

Lovers of quiet hunting took part in the game, where they not only refreshed their knowledge of edible and poisonous mushrooms in the Moscow region, but also learned about the possible consequences of picking mushrooms listed in the Red Book. Participants of the game "Dendrology for Dummies" not only tried their hand at identifying tree species, but also learned to distinguish deadwood from other types of dry trees.

To honor the tenth anniversary of the mini-paleopark, the museum has prepared educational events for its guests. Sixty participants of the quest "Residents of the Paleopark and Their Relatives" got acquainted with the relatives of the animals whose sculptures can be seen on the museum grounds. More than 100 people took part in the game "Traces of Former Biospheres", and the youngest participants of the holiday took part in a creative workshop on coloring ancient inhabitants. Museum guests learned about the formidable and harmless "inhabitants" of the park during an open-air tour. At the master classes, those who wished could make handmade soap in the shape of dinosaurs and paint wooden brooches of the animals they liked.

On this day, the opening of the exhibition "Striped Perfection" took place, and the author's film "Stork on the Roof", provided by the festival "Reasonable Cinema", was shown in the museum's cinema hall.
