Science
plays a crucial role in modern society. We can no longer imagine the world
without neural networks, biotechnologies, and robots. All discoveries,
technological inventions, and breakthrough technologies are based on scientific
knowledge. Since 2007, the Darwin Museum has been organizing an annual Science
Festival for its visitors. 2024 is no exception. On October 12, alongside
museum staff and volunteers, both children and adults engaged in logical
problem-solving at the gaming station, delved into the mysteries of neural
networks at the exhibition "The Brain," actively discussed the
connection between the brain, intelligence, and personality at the museum's
Discussion Club meeting, and attempted to control the life of microorganisms
using modern technologies in the exhibition "The World of Viruses."
Nearly four thousand visitors participated in the All-Russian Science Festival
0+ "Science Around Us" hosted at our museum.
Our dedicated volunteers from the Darwin Museum helped attendees navigate the rich program of the Science Festival.
The journey into science begins at a very young age, and the first successes are always delightful. The gaming station for ages 0+
During the workshop "Bioarchitecture," young festival guests, together with museum staff member E.D. Borodina, explored natural objects that inspired people to create new technologies and architectural masterpieces in a playful manner. They conducted experiments on their own and built bridges.
The program of the Science Festival concluded with a meeting of the museum's Discussion Club on the topic of BRAIN / INTELLIGENCE / PERSONALITY.
Participants were able to pose their questions to the experts: O.E. Svarnik, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Head of the Department at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis, and E.S. Klyshinsky, Associate Professor at the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics named after A.N. Tikhonov.
